The Synge Street CBS community is bursting with pride this week as we celebrate the extraordinary achievements of our past pupil, Alamaldein Hammad, who has officially secured a well-deserved place at Trinity College Dublin and will be studying Engineering following his phenomenal Leaving Certificate results.
Alamaldein’s journey to this point is nothing short of inspirational. Arriving in Ireland from Palestine just two years ago, he faced the monumental challenge of starting a new life in a new country with no English. To achieve what he has in such a short window of time is a testament to his staggering work ethic, resilience, and strength of character.
This success story is also a proud moment for our dedicated staff. We extend our deepest gratitude to the entire teaching faculty who supported Alamaldein along the way, with a special mention to Mr. McCabe, our EAL (English as an Additional Language) teacher, whose tailored guidance and unwavering support helped unlock Alamaldein’s immense potential.
Alamaldein, you embody the very best spirit of Synge Street. As you take this exciting next step into university life, always remember: Behind you, all your memories; before you, all your dreams; around you, all who love you; and within you, all you need.
Congratulations, Alamaldein! The world is yours for the taking, and please don’t ever be a stranger to Synge Street.
